What is Glutathione?

Glutathione production is an important part of the detoxification process. Glutathione is a small molecule found in every cell in the body—especially in the liver. It consists of three amino acids (cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine) and is considered a central protective system against oxidative and nitrosative stress, i.e., against cell damage caused by free radicals or environmental toxins.

A glutathione “deficiency” can have various negative effects:

1. Increased susceptibility to oxidative stress;
2. Reduced detoxification function;
3. Weakened immune system as a result;
4. Impaired mitochondrial function.

Chlorenergy® stimulates the body's own glutathione production.
